Maritime Training Centre Instructor

If you are passionate with Maritime Education & Training (MET)and wish to make use of your maritime experience and skills, our state-of-the-art Maritime Training Centre, located at our headquarters in Athens, is seeking forfulltime high qualified maritime instructors delivering maritime courses. As Maritime Instructor, you will be a vital part of our maritime training team delivering a better learning experience at our training facilities.

Who we are looking for:

The appropriate candidate, further to being a strong team player, with high interpersonal and communication skills should:

a. The Position: Maritime Safety & Security Instructor

• Have maritime background as a Licensed Captain A or equivalent with at least 2 years of combined sea service on board tanker and cargo vessels.
• Have received appropriate guidance in instructional techniques and competency assessment methods and practice involving the use of Bridge (full mission) and ECDIS simulators. An appropriate certification will be an advantage.
• Have recognized train the trainer qualification or equivalent 
• Have preferably experience as a maritime instructor.
• Speak and write in English fluently. The knowledge of Russian or Spanish will be considered as an advantage.
• Have basic computer skills. Microsoft OfficeSuite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) / Windows

Any training certification (seminars, postgraduate degree, bachelor’s degree) on social sciences or education, will be considered an advantage.

b. The Position: Marine Engineering Instructor

• Have maritime background as a Licensed Chief Engineer or equivalent with at least 2 years of combined sea service on board tanker and cargo vessels.
• Have received appropriate guidance in instructional techniques and competency assessment methods and practice involving the use of Engine simulator. An appropriate certification will be an advantage.
• Have recognized train the trainer qualification or equivalent 
• Have preferably experience as a maritime instructor.
• Speak and write in English fluently. The knowledge of Russian or Spanish will be considered as an advantage.
• Have basic computer skills. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) / Windows

Any training certification (seminars, postgraduate degree, bachelor’s degree) on social sciences or education, will be considered an advantage.
